Anyone know what the are risks of having LOW blood pressure? I would have thought this was good (as its opposite of HIGH...!). Please excuse my logical stupidity........!!!
What upper/lower readings are considered to be 'good'? Thanks.

Generally speaking, you are correct . A very low blood pressure however can cause problems such as dizziness, fainting or lightheadedness. As a rule, low blood pressure is usually a symptom of a variety of conditions, including things like dehydration, shock, heart failure, anaphylaxia etc.

Normal blood pressure falls within a range of 90/60 (lower end) to 120/80 (higher end).

As above. Sometimes I think that low blood pressure can be worse because there are less warning signs.

hi ernie,
i went for cardiac tests 2 yrs ago when i went for results
the consultant told me the pains i had been having in my
chest, ( on exersion ) was due to my blood pressure being so high, i never realised before that it was so high
it was then i was put on medication.
this doc told me that the ideal pressure was 128/ 70
but he commented that you dont die of low blood pressure.
hope this helps..
