I often speak to a guy on the phone who i like a lot...Now he does laugh a lot at some of the things i say, r sometimes at nothing if no one is saying anything. Is this a sign of nerves? Or any other sign? I think he may know i like him as i do tend to ramble about silly things for a while..When i put the phone down i cringe and think "God he must think im very silly!" Or will he just think im chatty? Thanks x

it's a sign that he finds you witty and amusing... or he's as mad as a bag of vipers....
Well it could be a sign of nerves or he could just find you amusing... Look for other signs as well.

(Snagged - Loving 'mad as a bag of vipers' remark)

There's lots of enthusiasm in his voice..Just trying to gauge if he fancies me or not!
Well Girlie, what's he like with you in person?
Question Author
seems embarrassed to talk with me, if theres other people around will be funny, cracking jokes, generally taking the p*ss out of me! God i like him alot...have done for over a year!!
Ok... bite the bullet. At the very least he enjoys your company as a mate so why not next time you're on the phone casualy ask him if he fancies nipping out for a drink or a coffee or something very casual.

Don't do the whole 'will you go out with me' move, that might scare him if he's shy. Or perhaps suggest a film you both want to see.

He likes you as a friend, you need to up the ante a little.

I know your right...Im too scared though. Fear of rejection and all that..Guess im waiting for him to do that but i could wait for a long time....I know its the 21st century but i need confirmation from him or someone he knows to be like "Yep i like this girl..."
I know sweetie but sometimes you have to do these things yourself. I'm not saying be brazen or anything, just keep it light hearted and friendly. Good luck xx
China Doll......AB's own agony aunt! You should have your own column (hmm, that didnt come out quite right!)

girlieflirt.....i think you'll have to ask him out. it sounds like he's a bit nervous. you know what we men are like when women are around........
I like the sound of that Cas.... Do I get to dish out the agony as well tho sometimes?!
oh probably, probably

women usually do, sigh
girlieflirt... sounds like he's mad for you... stop all that pointless phone chit-chat and get him over quick-smart...
Prefer it when the men do actually Cas ;0)

Girlie, listen to Snagged and Cas... they're giving you the blokey point of view... go for it!

Does he really sound mad for me? Seriously? Embarrassed about making a d*ck of myself...Good work guys, thanks! x
Just go for it. Might not work out, might do. Take a chance and good luck. Let us know how you get on.

xx
I have to say I agree with everyone here, the guy definitely likes you - men dont get nervous around women they dont like (well not from experience anyway!) I know a lot of lads that are like that, and sometimes they actually prefer it if the girl they like asks them out...

GO FOR IT!! x
Tons of people do this. Laughing at nothing or just to fill an awkward silence is a sign on insecurity. Like when someone says something to you and you know they expect you to laugh so you do.. They can tell its not sincere.

He probably cares too much about what you think and the irony of that is you will probably get annoyed by that after so long. This happens SO much around the world. I could be wrong but from what you've written this what I think.
why don't you just tell him you have a fag in one hand and a biscuit in the other most of the time guarra?? ; ) xx
