More DNS? trouble.

Hi, hope someone can help. My computers at home are only connecting to random websites at the moment. Ab is fine but Ebay is not, Yahoo is ok, but tv guide is not, etc. This is affecting both the main computer with router and the second pc upstairs.
I have already searched for questions on AB and followed some advice regarding qhost trojan, but the scan was clear. AVG antivirus comes up clear as does Spybot.
I have an intact hosts file in the windows directory with the default 127.0.0.1 setting and all my tcp settings regarding DNS are on automatic.
I have had the router switched off and rebooted everything. No improvement.

Any more ideas appreciated.

Hi, was a bit "twictchy" with some sites on sunday and today has been worse.
Have you tried directly connecting a computer to the internet, and not through the router (if possible)?

If you've done all the scanning etc. as you say, then just give it a few days: maybe it's your ISP playing up?

It was fine today, maybe Tiscali were having a bad weekend. I hope so anyway. Thanks for your reply.
