I think there is a mathematical theory that states that the simplest solution is usually correct or the best.Im a bit vague about it and want to learn more but cant remember the name of it.Think it begins with o.Can anyone help??

There is the philosophical principle called Occam's (or Ockham's) razor...

Blimey it is a good essay

I found it rather daunting when challenged ten years ago as to where Occam had said, entes non multiplicanda sunt.....
initially used to cut down the hierarchy of angels but then for much much more...
