I've heard this expression being used in Die Hard, although I understand the overall sentiment, I still want to know what "Yippee Kayay" mean exactly and where it comes from? Thanks in Advance!

Not sure but think it's a ************** of "Yippee Ayay" from most general cowboy films and the song "Ghost Riders".
asterisks mean 'corruption'
I thought yippe-ayeaye was a cowboy shout? it's in an old song called Ghost Riders in the Sky. Anyways, maclaine says it in the movie, later on the terrorist leader says it but wrongly Yippe-Kayay and maclaine laughs at him. Anyone else agree?? or did I imagine it.
