Twlight Zone episode

I seem to remember a Twiglight Zone episode about an old man who had a 'Chaos Machine' in his apartment. He had to keep it going else bad things would happen. This young man looks after it when he goes into hospital and does not believe what it is and so knocks it and a tidal wave is caused in China. Does anyone know the episode I mean?

Is it a 'new' episode or an old 60's one? your description rings a bell with me but I can't remember the episode or the era!

It is in colour and I dont remember it being that old so it must be one of the 'new' ones from the 1980s
