White feather

Is there any significance or urban myth meaning to a white feather falling out of the sky and landing at your feet?

Keeps happening to me! Around 5 times in the last 2 months - twice in ten mins yesterday!

I'm not religious but do believe in the paranormal and do feel there's someone/something out there looking over me. Was really windy yesterday too so it was even more strange a feather found me twice!

There are some who believe that white feathers dropping from the sky when no bird is in sight is eveidence that your guardians, who love you very much, are giving you a sign of their presence. Some call these guardians angels. Others call them spirits. One thing for sure, 7 feathers (5 floating down, 2 on the ground) is a VERY good sign. :-)

That has spun me out Carakeel cos no birds have ever been in sight, I even watched one feather from around 60ft up dart around on its way down and landed in straight into my hand! Yesterday I was on my way out, opened the door and one came into the house straight way. Just as I got out out the opeway and stepped onto the street there was one on the ground. How do you know that about the 7? Why give the sign if it is one?

i was told it meant an angel is watching over you as well. i was always sceptical until the morning of my uncle's funeral...we went outside to the cars and on our front lawn at the gate was a bed of white feathers....loads of them...no birds in sight...it was the weirdest feeling.

Country Boy I have always heard it is someone you love who has died who is sending it to you as a message that they are ok and watching over you.
