Renewing subscription for Norton Anti-virus

My subscription is about to run out for Norton Anti-virus on my computer. It's �35 to renew for the year. Can anyone advise if this is the best way to go about getting anti-virus software or is there a better alternative. It has been really good so far - I renewed last year - and I've not had a problem (touch wood!) Thanks

AVG do a free version of their software. It is widley used and very effective with regular updates . I have used it for over a year now with no problems. Just type AVG into google. It is also a good idea to get anti spyware too. Cy Marven
Norton slows down your system because it hogs resources.

I have used AVG for years, with ZoneAlarm, without problems. Both free.

Last years Norton anti-virus can be bought on ebay for around �20 with a years free subscription.
If you are with BT broadband you can download Norton Anti-Virus and Firewall for free.
