What's happened to smithy? Why isn't he sergeant anymore? I think I missed a few episodes and now they're looking for a new sergeant!

Nothing's happened to Smithy, he is still in the programme. They are just looking for a new sergeant and Yvonne was suggested by Gina. However, after last week's episodes where she used a soapy brush on a young yob who was using it on a homeless man she is up on another charge this week so it doesn't look like she'll be getting the promotion. This is justified as she was never sergeant material anyway as she has an attitude unbecoming of a sergeant or a police offcer at all IMHO.

Ahhh ok, thanks for that, it's just I hadn't seen him around and then all the talk about looking for a new sergeant got me thinking I'd missed something!
