How do I highlight & post link from another site

I have been trying to post a link from another site, but am unable to high light it, so it can be opened by just clicking on it.

Just type in the FULL web address. Eg. http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk

For a reason that escapes me it does not work with https:///www.theanswerbank.co.uk or any other address. Why not?

Kwicky a most appropiate name, slow down a little.
you have put a S after the http (not needed). You have also put 3 / (only needs 2) try it again.

Your right anotheroldgit there is an extra s ie( https) but that was intended. The syntax of the following address is irrelevent but only to make a point about the 's' which is correct.

ie https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk

Yes Kwickys right! There was an earlier posting (look back a few pages) where the difference between http and https were differentiated upon with the 's' version being more secure.
