What are your top 5 life definining moments, good or bad?

ok ..mine...

good/bad....mother left me and my 4 brothers and sisters when i was 6 months old.

bad....being told that i was to blame for her leaving as i grew up by my brothers (who have told me they were joking).

bad...loseing my childhood because we were a working family and all had to chip in to keep the food coming in.

bad..not having the strength of mind to do my own thing after years of being the scrubbing rag of the family.

good...meeting the love of my life at the age of 18.

bad... being a stubborn idiot and treating people like i was treated, thus losing the girl of my dreams.

good... at 21 finding that i have the strength to leave the family "business"!

bad... meeting the wrong girl,who screwed me over. (but great sex).

good...leaving her.

good.. setting a business up in 1996 and proving i can do it.

good.. buying first house.

good.. meeting my wife.

good.. passing my bike test and getting my first gixar.

bad.. losing my best mate in a bike crash.

the best ever...... having my 2 beautiful children!!!

dan1 thanks so much. I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I always feel Kevin is watching out for me, as does my daughter. Perhaps your dad is doing the same for you. Just keep him in your memories and tell him about your life. It may sound crazy, but it does help. I wish you well.

what a great thread and wonderful posts....respect to all...if i could post on behalf of a friend..
married to a lovely guy who became an alchoholic
divorced guy
had a daughter
re married same guy
had an affair and divorced guy again
second hubby was love of life and died on 1st anniversary
found aunt and 2 cousins dead of toxic poisoning (gas escaped)
found mother dead in home
married hubby no 3/4
he gambled and lost my home and left me in terrible debt
daughter of 14 had a complete breakdown
sister asked for a kidney, she refused, sister died leaving 14 year old son
daughter at 21 had a suicide attempt and locked up with severe breakdown
daughter was pregnant............
i met her last week, she has smiled through it all, is extremely positive and has never complained.....wharrawoman!! total respect!!!

when i say my or me i meant she....honest!! i could never have coped with her life...and by the way...through it all has kept down a full time job and looks amazing!!
