…that was actually proposed by the companies themselves when he was Chancellor?

Why do multi-millionaires enjoy playing Risk and Monopoly with the public and their incomes? Is it some sort of games that only the wealthy and privileged play?

He had all the solutions 4 days ago, why the sudden realisation?

You got a link to that claim and those figures, they’re staggering?

So why didn’t he do so when he was Chancellor?
He did target on the poorest eg for band D and below
He didn't do enough though...he underestimated how long and big it would be
Wasn't labour/snp/lib dems plan 29 billion?
YES fatticusinch I understated it ... its£29 BILLION.

No idea. Link?

Or are you getting confused with this?

Fossil fuel giants have seen their profits soar. BP and Shell made £29 billion in profits in the first six months of the year alone.

Sunak isn’t going to win the leadership contest. He is not going to be Prime Minister. Nothing he promises will happen, it is pointless taking any notice of anything he says or does.

Understated it how? You said £29 billion the first time.

£29 billion every SIX MONTHS, Bobbinwales?
You sure?
I agree with Gromit. It's entirely irrelevant.

Luckily for us the media seen it relevant and news.

I guess we’ll know the true impact come the winter….or next GE?

They see it as relevant because they can't be seen to concede that the winner is already decided.... but she is. His deliberations are futile.

That’s actually the irrelevant part.
The media are speculating as to why he didn’t act accordingly whilst Chancellor, when he could have headed off the crisis somewhat.
Doesn't matter. It's done.
fatticusinch argues for the sake of it.. He keeps inferring I made up the 20 billion figure even though its in the link .

Here's a quote from the sky article "The Labour leader says his party's £29bn energy plan will save the typical family £1,000 immediately, get energy costs under control for the future and help tackle inflation."

There £29billion.
I agree with TTT
no apology from Fatticus Inch. Do you rue badly? Roo Badley geddit?
