Thought it was totally boring, surprised at Sean Bean agreeing to take part. Anyone else agree?

I, too, watched A Star Is Born to get the taste of the wretched drivel of Marriage out of my mouth.

The writer of Marriage was also allowed to direct it - does he have some secret he's holding over the BBC's Head of Drama?
My friend insisted I watch it to tell her what that “on the side” music was about but I haven’t a clue so can someone enlighten me please? GAWD ITS AWFUL!!
Read my link - i think music is explained there.
Think I’ll give up on it Ken. Unless it means it just goes on being boring I still don’t understand. I guess my brain isn’t finely tuned enough for it!!!! I don’t understand modern art like Damien Hearst’s either!!!
I can't do with the music, either. The mute button comes in very handy:-)
Nicola Walker is a fine actor, amazing in The Split. No idea why she agreed to act in this (IMO) drivel.
I'm enjoying it. Like Vagus I enjoy subtle observational programmes.

Yep, I shall keep watching. Sean and Nichola play their parts beautifully.
Do you really believe in them as a couple?
Sean Bean is playing the exact same character as he did in Life.
Watched the last 2 episodes this afternoon and enjoyed the series for what it was billed as - an observational 12 day slice of a married couple's life.

In Life, SB played a fish-out-of-water first time jailbird. In this he played a guy who had just been made redundant and who appeared to be losing a grip on what he saw as his reality. IMHO, i hasten to add.

This was a couple who at times were as comfortable as an old pair of slippers with each other, and at times quite awkward around each other.

Of course it wasn't everyone's cup of tea but what is?
Ha, ha, ha this reminds me of working in a theatre and listening to complaints from people who walked out of Waiting for Godot!

Like that play, and Nice Fish, I enjoyed Marriage even if I did fidget and wish it would speed up.

It was adsorbing enough for me to commit to the final two parts sometime; who knows, something might actually happen!
We have been married 65 years in September
and have never used the language they use
different generation. And someone thinks the
office boss is a whiz-kid, more like the T.V,comedy.
That was different.

I am surprised there was a need for A Camera Clapper Loader as I must have missed most of the need for anyone to shout "Action".
The script could have been written on 4 sides of A4.

There are windows here for at least 4 new BAFTA awards:
Best Litter Warden
Best Recycler
Best Dishwasher Stacker
Longest Embarrassing Pause

There were 3 Unit Medics on the production - presumably to check for signs of life, and 5 others under the heading "Covid" so I assume the acting was contagious.

The bad news is - that is Series 1. I will not emulate Oliver Twist.

Suddenly my life seems far more animated, interesting and exciting than ever I realised and, thankfully, I can keep up a conversation with a reasonable vocabulary ...
Totally agree and watching paint dry has now become really exciting!!!!
I watched this the other night - there's an hour of my life I won't get back, I think I was as bored as the actors and couldn't be bothered changing the channel or maybe somewhere in the back of my mind I expected something to happen, the night i watched it, she was in an hotel on some convention. I think choux has it well sussed :)
