After playing Wordle there is another game at the bottom of the page, it is called Spelling Bee. It is a hexagonal word game that I have seen often in magazines.

Does anyone have a link to the same game on another site?
I have looked but there are so many games online and I got lost and bewildered.

The Express Word Wheel is basically the same but uses 9 letters instead of 7:

The Irish Examiner also uses 9 letters:

Thanks, is it interactive? My spelling is abysmal and I need the computer to stop me cheating.

Say hello to your kittens, I am off to bed to prepare for Oxfam in the morning. Monday I put my treasurer hat on and try to balance our accounts Fun!!
Just google Word Wheel Games and there are loads to choose from
good grief, I used to do that when knee high to a whatsit. It was called Target and I think it came from the Express though it may have been some other British paper. I came across words like isinglass that have stayed in my memory even though I'm still waiting for the right occasion to use it.

Not bad if they can recycle (so to speak) the same word puzzles for more than 60 years.
Kittens? Chequers doesn't seem very kitten-like when he insists upon sleeping on top of me! He weighs 8 kilos!

I hope the books add up in the morning ;-)

This site has loads of new word wheels every day. (You just need to register to access them):

Yup!

My dad did the Target puzzles for many decades. I used to love 'helping' him (i.e. finding a word before he did) when I was a kid!
If you like Wordle, try Wordmaster. It is exactly the same format as Wordle, but you can do as many or as few as you wish in one session. Also it does not have american spelling.

Thanks for that Chris, it's brilliant. The trouble is I'm now addicted ;-)
You could try Wordle unlimited. Do as many as you like all day long.
With the Spelling Bee, you can use each letter any number of times. I can get only so far and then it tells me I need to subscribe to continue.

If the Target is the same when I used to do it in the paper decades ago, you can use each letter only the once.

thanks to all of you.

Andres has the best solution, but when I so the normal spelling bee after wordle it only gives me a short time to play with it before it remembers that I should be subscribed and paying to play.

Calda - yep, that is another game to get wrapped up in.

I am currently playing a game - 42 words and a score of 219/578. I could get totally absorbed in a game and spend days trying to discover words.

Being a grown-up is so hard sometimes. ☺☺
I found that about Spelling Bee, wolf. I liked the game but kept being asked to subscribe. I wonder if Wordle is another game that in a while we will have to subscribe to.
