R&S died when Theland did. I miss him.
Unfortunately, that's the nature of reality.
We all cease to exist at some point,
Plant, animal or human. We all die and cease to exist!
(Why humans believe that we don't is a mystery to me)

BUT, To believers in eternal life,
Just what was the point of planting a tree of eternal life in
the Garden of Eden?
I really would like to know?

Its the lesser know tree. (After the tree of knowledge of good and evil)
How often would Adam & Eve have to partake of it?
Would they have died anyway if they refused to have eaten?
After they were expelled from the Garden of Eden, was it still there?

And what happened to the Angel who guarded the Garden of Eden with a Fiery sword
Was he drowned in Noahs flood, along with the magical tree of life?

And why is there no mention of a such a magical tree in heaven
(Book of Revelation for example)
Do we not have a choice to live forever once we are dead by eating from a tree of life?

Its almost as if its ALL orchestrated by God and we don't have a say.
(Calvinism)

Or its a load of @&%£$)%%

//Why ask if you think it's BS? //
Because I'm trying to understand your BS.
Why are you obsessed with religion? I hate grapefruit -can't understand why anyone would eat one, but don't go on forums week in and week out challenging people who do like grapefruit. That would be a bit weird don't you know.
Question Author
//Have a look at the NDE videos on YouTube for an explanation on why some don't think that we cease to exist.//
Have a look at NDE's in hindu culture.
Proves nothing.
Hindu NDE'S are totally different that 'western' NDE'S.

This is a subject that I have followed for over 30 yrs.
Its totally culteral.

//Why are you obsessed with religion?//
You could ask the same of anyone who reguarly posts in news....

Interestingly schippiegalette,
You only joined less than a month ago and
you seem to know a lot about me.....

// You 'bait' and frankly, that comes over quite aggressively and probably sends many of the religious running for the hills; //

Thanks for the compliment naomi ;-)

just asking for clarity that all.....
//don't go on forums week in and week out challenging people who do like grapefruit. That would be a bit weird don't you know. //

Yes, I do know that. As far as I'm aware no grapefruit has ever been accused of leading anyone astray or of negatively influencing their psyche - so yes, it would be a bit weird.
And Grapefruit said; "Let there be light." And there was light, and Grapefruit saw that it was good; and Grapefruit divided the light from the darkness.
Haha! All hail the grapefruit! Or should that be the fruit loop?
Question Author
//There is a very good reason why God got an angel to guard the tree of life. If Adam or Eve had eaten of its fruit they would have lived forever//
Did the Guardian angel die in the deluge a few chapters later?
You know? When god mercilessly killed all of life by drowning.
What a horrific death for a baby (or anyone really...with a conscience)
Question Author
How often did Adam & Eve had to eat of this fruit to stay alive?
Would they have died without it?
What if they refused to eat thereof?
Did they have a choice?
Would they have bought sin into the world by not partaking?

Is it all a spin on earlier myths?
Question Author
Why didnt they grab a piece before god expelled them.....

More holes in this story than a collindar...
Harry Potter has a more succinct storyline!
Question Author
Baffles me why people can believe in this carp....

I work with otherwise sensible, compassionate and caring human beings. But mention religion and all hell breaks loose ...

Paul said: “Faith is not a possession of all people.” (2 Thessalonians 3:2) The same can be said of the truth. Even when confronted with truth based on the Bible, many people deliberately ignore it. Yet, how precious it is! Jesus said: “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”—John 8:32. That's all I'm going to share on the matter. You are poor lot getting nowhere.
goodlife - // You are poor lot getting nowhere. //

Then we are in good company with you poor lot.
//Even when confronted with *truth based on the Bible*//

And therein lies the stumbling block.
Perhaps you think too much nailit;
Interesting that, Khandro. I like the point about life being like music or dance (a journey not a task to reach an spend point) but as for the bit about there being no events or things in the real world……..I can’t quite get my head around it.

I also like the point about religion being mired with unpleasant duties.

Nailit - you should watch.
