Don't please get me wrong, I think there are lots of sports women are good at & a pleasure to watch, golf, swimming, athletics.
It's probably me, but I fail to get excited about it.

Only you thought it was a serious comment, others could see it was light-hearted & said so at the time when I said I had no idea where he lived, or who he was.
I thought this trolling had been happening I said, 'for about three years' but he now states that it is four, does that not show how he knows what he's doing?
You should understand that this isn't just the normal everyday arguing & banter which goes on all the time on AB and can be fun, this is a sick, nasty process aimed to hurt & annoy. It is a new growing societal phenomena associated with the internet, it is the work of cowards & sadistic bullies and is having devastating effect on particularly its young victims.
I hope, Redhelen, you don't have to endure it ever.

Dear oh dear. Some of you need to get over yourselves, you really do. This thread and some of the replies do border on misogyny for being biased, intolerant, discriminatory and prejudiced.
Women's football is here to stay after the wonderful competition that has been covered so well these last few weeks. Thankfully people in their many thousands have enjoyed the play which, probably, surpassed what was expected of the sports women.
It has been truly inspiring for many young girls to watch and I was so pleased to see that after the final on Sunday some of the English team gave away their gloves and boots to young girls. Anything which gets children out in the fresh air playing sport and away from the internet has to be admired, approved and welcomed.
Just looking around the various football stadia it was refreshing to see so many females and families enjoying the games, never mind all those watching big screens in huge numbers.
Thanks should go to all the females who have played football in amateur games only for they have played a big part in Sunday's final. Why should women not make money from the sport? Sarina will get a bonus of £200,000 according to the media today. Good for her.
All in all the Championship was a shot in the arm for football and a great win for the English team - what on earth is there not to like about that?

You used an 80s pop star, who you'd never heard of before, to substantiate some obscure point you were trying to make (I think it was about refugees) and insodoing made a bit of a fool of yourself.
