good movie isn't it and largely true - allowing for artistic licence.
how was the op by the way?
OMG how can you have not watched that before? It's probably in my top 3 movies ever and I guess I've watched it at least 50 times. I could probably quote the whole script if asked ;-)
PS did you know the real race between Seabiscuit and War Admiral is on YouTube? It is of course in black and white and grainy but still amazing.
is this a remake?

Ive seen it before but a long long time ago. And no Prudie I didn’t know that - will have to look it up now !
DTC - wasn’t a fab day on Tuesday but it went ok, Thanku v much for asking x

Prudie - Ive just watched it on YouTube x
Try Phar Lap - another film based on truth concerning an exceptional racehorse.
my top ten go to film of all time, read the book by Laura Hillenbrand, it will have you in bits. I have seen the film umpteen times and never get tired of it, but having read the book, i loved it just as much.

Not heard of that Ken but will do x
Seabiscuit is the best sporting film i have ever seen, great performances from the three men, and of course the wonder horse they used in the making of the film.

Honestly, I’ve seen it before but I was sobbing - the acting was so genuine, so real, just incredible. I could easily watch it again today lol!
i watched it a few weeks ago, and it gets me every time.
Not seen it for years but Phar Lap is sad (as is the true story). If you fancy another similar film based on a true racehorse story that's truly uplifting find Secretariat.
Preferred the book. If you want to watch another racehorse film with a set of hankies then I would recommend ‘Champions’, the true story of Bob Champion and Aldaniti.

Dream Horse, about the racehorse Dream Alliance is another good one, it was raised on an allotment and went on the win the Welsh Grand National. It was the first horse to benefit from stem cell surgery when it broke down in I think, the Gold Cup. Trouble is it showed the owners did eventually flog the life out of it until it eventually gave up racing itself and was retired.

Some fab comments here on other films to watch - will certainly look out for them, Thanku xx
