Am getting annoyed with my phone provider. I've been a with them for over 6 years but it seems as if I'm not eligable for any of the new deals they bring out. I appreciate they often do this to entice people to them in the first place but I also think that the service I get from them (blackberry) is quite pricey compared to other networks.

I got an upgrade phone from them last year and am in an 18 month contract till xmas. Am I actually legally bound to honour this?

Yes you are and if you try to cancel early you will still be liable for the monthly payments
Shop around. See what deals you can get with other companies and take it back to your contract provider. I had hells of problems with the orange coloured one who seem to only provide good deals for 'new customers' I told them I was fed up with the deal I was getting and that I waas thinking about leaving them and told them what I could get on another provider and they matched it. You are not is such a strong position, since you still have a few months left to go on your contract but provided you are not looking to pay any less, I cant see why they could not give you some bonuses or more minutes or something. They will not want to lose you when you come to the end of this existing contract!! When you do need new contrcat negotiate again to see what you can get cheaper. I now rate them very highly indeed, and I had become very very peed off with them. I had just been talking to numpty's, until I asked to discuss deal matching then I got to speak to someone who knew what could be done to help me-the CUSTOMER!! All this was a tip off from an orange cloured dealer who was trying to flog me a phone, but felt sorry for me when I told him what a bum deal I was getting!
