Some years ago I had the above in a wee local place and it was Mexican Chicken topped with what I didn't know but it was Soured Cream and it was delicious.

Anybody have a recipe for that. Love to try that. Cousin coming up for a dinner next week and I could maybe make that. TIA

I know that there are no Waitrose stores in NI but if you happen to see this in a supermarket somewhere, I can thoroughly recommend it!

here Chris - found those tins in British Cornershop and what I had to go through to get registered was unbelievable. I ordered 3 tins I think they were £3.19 a tin so I go into checkout and found "oh it will cost altogether £13 for the tins and postage but what was it Parcelforce were charging me £13 for the postage of 3 tins of chicken . I nearly took a hairy fit so of course cancelled - well logged out.
Question Author
Chris - what do you think of that - ridiculous £13 for delivery.

Ill just have to peruse those links - thanks all who did. bad day at the office
Just one benefit of 'oven ready', Jenny.
Asda sell it to, JJ. Is there an Asda in Belfast? Also Amazon
Isn't British Cornershop based in the Netherlands? That would explain their high delivery charges
Question Author
Barry - do have an Asda but it doesn't sell those particular ones. I'll not die without them LOL
Question Author
I nearly took a stroke at the postage.

I just don't think my mexican chicken would be good as I've never made it before.
^^^ I've not seen those cans in Asda for ages and they're showing as 'unavailable' on their website. I suspect they've discontinued them, just as Morrisons has done too :(
(That's annoying for me, as Asda is only 6 miles away but Waitrose is 16 miles from here)
Question Author
arrrrrgh Chris - you are not going to get them either - poor you - petrol is so expensive too - you may hoof it.
I sometimes treat myself to a trip to Waitrose, Jennyjoan. Their deli counter, and their excellent range of wines, make the trip worthwhile ;-)
Question Author
oh oh oh good for you LOL - anyway you can get a bus with your pass - would that be right.
^^^ The bus is a bit of a hassle. It's half an hour's journey into Ipswich from here and then a 25-minute trip out to Waitrose on the edge of town. Allowing for the 5 minute walk to the bus stop from my house, plus waiting for buses, it works out at over an hour's journey in total.

Actually, I don't mind too much when the hospital ask me to get a blood test done from time to time, as the phlebotomy clinic is very close to Waitrose. So it gives me a chance to do a bit of upmarket shopping occasionally ;-)
[I like Waitrose but not their prices, which are far higher than other supermarkets].
^yes, they are pricey but have a terrific range, all excellent quality.
Most of our stuff is from Waitrose, the only supermarket that doesn't require a long car journey (but love Lidl too, when am near one).
