Following the recent ruling by the US Supreme Court, a 10 year old rape victim has been forced to travel from Ohio to Indiana in order to get an abortion. How do the avid anti-abortionists feel about that? Should the little girl have been compelled to give birth?

It's all very emotive, isn't it. But people's emotions are being weaponised here.
As ymb says, this decision wasn't about abortion.
It's about courts overruling the will of the people.
I wonder what Naomi would have felt about our Supreme Court reversing the result of the referendum.

You don't make law around hard cases, but good laws consider hard cases because a small percentage of a big number (like a population of 300 million) is still a big number (like, over a million). Not sure what the population in Richard I's time was, or if it's relevant.

You don't make law around hard cases, but You do make law around hard cases, .... yup OK Mr Niceguy today
No law that every post has to make sense on AB

Richard I - time immemorial = been around for a looooong time ( rolls eyes like Judge Judy and nods head meaningfully)

If only we could hear the end of you, pp.

Spice, I understand completely what YMB is saying. I think you know what I’d say if the courts reversed the result of the referendum.

There is a difference between taking something into consideration and making it central to your thinking.

Or are you saying that it's impossible to frame a law that prohibits abortion without making provision for a 10-year-old rape victim to have an abortion? Because I don't think it is.
