A great first day at Wimbledon, despite the rain interruptions. And our British players did us proud. Fantastic playing from Andy Murray, Emma Raducanu and Cameron Norrie who won their first round games. Heather Watson will resume her match tomorrow and commiserations to Jodie Burrage a promising newcomer.
Tomorrow, Dan Evans is among the British line up of our young exciting players including Jack Draper who played brilliantly at Queens.

It sure was! Thought Duckworth who was playing Murray was a tad petty insisting on the roof being shut.
Come on Tim!
Ah yes! Wimbledon! Tennis is the only sport I know where the competitors get a round of applause for having just been to the toilet, eg, player asks the umpire for the proverbial "comfort break".

Player leaves the court for a few minutes.

Player returns on court to a round of applause.

I wonder what the player did to deserve it? :o)
Lol so true.
Word of warning, folks. Don't get carried away by the Brits' performances. Odds against any of them being here next week.

True Ken! But they are trying. Look out for Ryan Peniston another promising player.
Did anyone see the Alcaraz match? It was touch and go for the young Spaniard, a scrappy game.
Sharon, i was going to have a bet on the Alcaraz match but i couldn't call it because neither player is particularly adept on grass. Probably why it was 'a scrappy' match.
His next match is on /Wed against Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor (ranked 53) and he does most of his winning on grass. If i can find an angle to back him to win, i'll most likely do so.
Why is Sarina Williams wearing a black smudge on her right cheek or did she have an accident with her mascara? We all know her position to race but this is a bit excessive....
something to do with sinuses-allows more air via her nostrils?
Two stars have had to pull out because of Covid.
isn't that a plaster across the bridge of the nose or so the ex would tell me?
More apropos, has Serena had a breast reduction job - she looks much smaller in that statistical department?
