A plane for (up to) 7 migrants had been chartered for £500,000.
That works out at £71,429 per migrant just for travel.
Last year 28,526 migrants came to our shores.

So it would cost over £2Billion just to transport last years intake, before £40billion hotel fees.

Your cost is based upon there being only seven folk on each future plane which is unlikely.
Are you just showing off 'cos you think you're good at sums?

(It wasn't for 'up to 7 migrants').

Which idiot chartered a 300 seat aircraft for (up to) 7 passengers?
Would anyone other than an out of touch Government buy a plane ticket for over £70,000 each ?
Maybe 1st class tickets ?
Where are you getting the 'up to 7 passengers' from, Gromit?

The Plane is a 300 seat Boeing 767.
no yes
false logic - altho I dont llike pointing it out to people I like ( not many then !)
You are using 'marginal rates' - and applying it to the whole
( and you cant, its invalid).

It is like getting ten bob for 3 minutes work, and saying Oh yeah well per week that is - - - £470/-/-
which is true but doesnt mean much

go on crunching
but not numbers hur hur hur

I have maintained all along that the Rwanda policy is a gimmick, a publicity stunt to win votes.

Firstly there is not much money to send many. Based on the Australian costs, I estimate about 50.

Secondly, this flight was schedules a fortnight before two by elections. So rushed that the legalities had not been sorted out. And 7 passengers is a gesture not an attempt to tackle the real problem.

Sadly some people enjoy this entertainment, no matter what the cost to the taxpayer.
Gromit, haha! That really is number crunching. Mind you don't break a tooth... or something!
