I asked multiple similar questions but this one is different. Around 10 years ago I had an airsoft war in a field in my city. They built a gate in front of it recently to keep people out so im pretty sure I'd be trespassing if I went there now. Well, I'm starting to feel bad about leaving all the plastic bb's around. I called the city manager or whatever they call her and told her the story and if i could have permission to enter the field. She just seemed real weirded out. She was like "Umm...no I can't give out that information, sorry why did you wait 10 years?". Was I in the wrong or was she just being rude?

what information couldn't she give out? Is it the city's field?
Would the bb’s even still be there?? Someone might have already cleaned up?
If you expect them to be lying on the surface I very much doubt they would be after 10 years.

Think whats happened in that field over the years - people walking, vehicles, grass cutting etc.
