Had a water tank explode in loft 10 years ago had it fixed am wondering if it would have caused any structural damage to my home.to worry about .

Cold water tank overheated and split. Am worried if ceilings and carpets are affected. After all this time.
You can only tell by looking for signs of damp or rot - possibly testing with a meter. Not something anyone here can answer I woulda thought.
And how does painting and decorating come into it. Plumbers and navy frogmen, possibly :-)
Get a surveyor in.
Any damage would have shown up by now.
No, it wont have caused any structural problems. Well not unless you left water flooding through your house for weeks on end.

Carpets, well 10 years ago so get some new ones if you are worried. Usually its the underlay that suffers rather than the carpet though.
