Just had scale shoot out of my iron on to a jacket and left a stain. ( white not rust) Have you a solution. Don't really want to wash the whole jacket again.

My wife advises this:

She says: soak the affected part in a solution of OxyActive, and keep your fingers crossed. If that doesn't work, the whole garment may have to be washed in the solution.
i try a damp tea towel first and brush it over stain , but i wash it again if that fails
Cut a lemon in half and rub it on the scale leave to dry then brush off.
Yes, if you're sure it's scale then you want something slightly acidic to dissolve it..I'd use lemon juice. (I actually keep citric acid crystals to hand for dissolving scale in all sorts of places).
