I’d have like to have gone into Travel I think,for a few years now I’ve organised holidays for family & friends, booking flights and getting accommodation etc and I’ve really enjoyed doing it, even this year with vaccine certs and locator forms which aren’t require now.
What would you like to have done or did you do it?

Thanks for the heads up on camps thread Gness,, you are who you are today because of the fact you ‘allowed’ yourself to care for her, did she ever explain to you those happenings?
Jno and Bobbi. I forgave her many years ago, at least enough to care for her from then on. Brought her to Canada, took her on holidays. Did the things you do for a mother I guess.
By 2012 she was too much for me and had to go into a home. She didn't know anyone....couldn't communicate. That was the year I found out by accident what she had done and said all those years ago but it was too late to talk to her about it.
Since moving to Ireland I have discovered more from family and it's that discovery that really rankles. It was so wrong and cruel. I take back that forgiveness because she really didn't deserve it.

Such a shame you’ve to carry those feelings with you Gness and I’m afraid there’s no answer to unburden them
Not a regret as such, but having taken Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A level I always imagined myself teaching Maths at secondary school, whereas I ended up in Primary for 24 years and loved it! I very much enjoyed revisiting those skills though when I helped my son to pass his Maths GCSE.
I see, I didn't understand the chronology, gness. But don't regret your ignorance, that wasn't your fault, and don't regret caring for the sick, even if so to speak it was under false pretences.
Not taking the opportunity of Professional teaching of the flute.

Not taking the opportunity to become a solicitor after getting a qualification which meant I could go straight into year 2 of whatever was needed back then.
Thanks, both.. :-)
I love bednob's answer. I think, however that my two regrets above were due to too much focus on what bednobs regrets.
Very disappointing for you, Gness, but your heart did what was right for you at the time.
Isn't it your birthday today?? :-)
Tomorrow, Patsy when I'll once again be older than Dave and he can pretend to be my toy boy... :-)
G, one of these days you will find the strength to let these “ bad things” go.
You will be truly at peace. ( this sounds a bit religious,) it’s not.
Gness, :-))
I thought it was the 29th today!
I also regret that my mother turned me against my Dad in many way and it was only after I left home I realised it. He died in his early sixties and I now seriously regret not giving him the love and respect he deserved during my formative years.
Thanks, Anne. I don't think it harms me to hang onto it now though. If I let go I'd regret that and have to be adding more regrets to Bobbi's thread. :-)

Patsy. I thought my birthday was next week. Suddenly had to change my tomorrow plans as others had plans for me.... :-)
//shagging more//

That's so last year
I regret not meeting Bednobs when we were younger.
^^^^^^
Lol!
Gness, This last year or so, I never know what the date/day is...I've got to stop and carefully calculate from say a date I definitely knew one day last week, then count on my fingers up to present day.. sad isn't it? ;
:-)
Ha ha bednobs, I did all that and have never regretted it. It used to puzzle me why it was ok for the fellas but not the girls so I did my own thing ;)
I’m with JennyJoan, wish I could play the piano, love listening to the amateur piano players when you go through St Pancras station
