No. I retired as a university lecturer last year in June and for the two years since the beginning of lockdown I was trying to teach online.
A small percentage of students preferred remote teaching. Most missed the personal contact and all at some time or other faced technological issues relating to recorded lectures and zoom meetings that would have caused them stress.
Online teaching is not ideal, in my opinion, and certainly not as effective as face to face teaching.

I think it depends on the system used. My Grandaughter has been enrolled in online schooling for 3 years now. She has made friends who communicate outside of school but also keeps contact with old friends. She communicates well with the teachers and is more inclined to ask and answer questions. Parents submit requests for the times for lessons and time tables, while combined, take into account the needs of the student. Missed lessons are available on video so they can be made up. Teachers can be contacted if help is needed. Classses are small
She has only had one technical issue that was sorted quickly.
