Did anyone else spot the irony of a man via pure birth …with a golden spoon in his mouth , sat on a throne of gold ,sat next to a crown worth probably a billion at least , reading a speech telling us peasants ‘The government is aware of the cost if living crisis and thoughts & prayers’

Even as a Tory voter in 2019 I can see the irony in this.

* the crown * .. sitting on a cushion ? :-)

How would the demise of the monarchy benefit you - or are you just whinging?
reminds me of the pensioner who travels on the bus all day to keep warm . . . boris said she'd got him to thank for her free bus pass
Hmmm. You have to wonder why all the buses aren't full up all day.
They'd let people eat shitte, if they could get away with it!..
I remember pensioners riding the buses and sitting in the reading rooms of the libraries all day to keep warm back in the 70s. I didn't know of any that did, just heard about them on the news.

@naomi - The monarchy has no place and not relevant in the 21st century.

But you have missed the point of my comment.
Sorry it went over your head (smiley emoji).

Yes sat next to a ‘crown sat on a chair/cushion’ to remind us peasants who the rulers are and who to cap duff to.

Let them eat cake ….

I haven't missed the point of your post, SR ... not at all.
I worry for the population.

Have you seen the cost of a takeaway, delivered by Just Eat? Something needs to be done.
How many young people have started businesses and gone on to employ others due to the help they received from the prince's trust? I think Charles has a pretty good idea about what goes on and looks for ways to help within his own freedom to act. I think William may go on to do even more.
