I can understand why the sympathy vote might happen but it makes a mockery of the whole contest.

I never watch this show now, mainly because hardly anyone votes for us nowadays !! As others have said, it's always been a mockery anyway.

My feeling is that Ukraine will win the song contest as most of the voters will want Russia to see that they have the support of Europe in all aspects of society. BTW if Finland joins NATO quickly would Putin dare to invade them?

Getting back to the Song Contest, the UK has a very strong and popular entry. If Sam Ryder gets nil points then I really would start to smell a rat :-)
But he won't
