I maybe wrong but in tonight's episode should not the "false" witness in court have been sworn in ?

No, they don't bother with things like that in Corrie.
If it was a normal court they'd of had to disclose evidence beforehand and Abbys team would get chance to challenge it.but maybe family courts is different or it would of just spoiled the plot

Corrie has never been too strong on getting the detail right(!)
Why wasn't she given a chance to respond to the allegation?
I wondered why Abbie wasn't given the chance to explain. Used to like Imran but now I want to see the smirk wiped off his face.
I got the impression that we started watching him in the dock after he had been sworn in, the scene cut to something else between him entering the court room and giving evidence.
