Pleeeeease can we have a politics category? I'm sure when it was asked recently the majority of people said it would be a good idea. (I stand to be corrected, though)

Open thecategories and scroll down to 'news' then click on the cross.

In the News category heading, you'll see, "If you'd like to discuss politics that doesn't relate to a specific story or event, head over to our Politics section."

I suggested that ‘Politics’ be made a main category rather than remain a hidden sub-category it is now. The idea was generally supported but whether it ever happens remains to be seen.

Yes because the “tree” directory doesn’t work on my phone (and presumably not just mine). The “+” sign is off the screen.

Only topics in the main section are likely to get many posts anyway I’d have thought

they should make all the sub categories main categories. They are barely used and if you want to make sure no one reads your post, use a Sub cat!

They tried to weed the categories not that long ago but had to re-instate them all.

Thanks for your answers. I don't want to look at politics posts - just the opposite! Most posts in that category just end up as slanging matches and there are so many now. I suspect some are just posted to wind people up and it works!
