Maybe.......maybe not, depends upon what is being checked.

I've had 3 - all to do with bones, no injections.
I had an MRI on my head a couple of months ago. They looked at my pituitary gland and beforehand injected me with something called contrast.
yes and no, it just depends
not the one i had recently.
Had a mri or two with no injection.
Had a mri for a different reason and was injected with something that was slightly radioactive.
Bit annoyed I didn't glow in the dark afterwards.
Such is life ;-/
depends on what they have ordered
