tonight at 10.40 Cape Fear starring Robert De Niro, Nick Nolte, Robert Mitchum, Gregory Peck, Juliette Lewis (she is amazing in this role) a Martin Scorsese masterpiece. If it starts too late, record it. It is the most horrifying film in my repertoire and I always rewatch it with my heart in my mouth.

I watched the Robert de Niro version some years ago and yes I agree it is very scary. My definition of scary is not a film with ghosts and vampires, but a film where the threatening situation could and has happened in real life.
Robert de Niro is excellent in the role.
