Thought long and hard about having my booster Jab yesterday because my birthday is in a couple of days. But no real problems before so went ahead. Now I ache all over and have a high
temperature and feel sick. Anyone else experienced this with Moderna? I was fine with Astra and Pfizer, just tired.

Sorry to hear this Lottie. I only know of a few people who have had this one but all of them have been ok.
Hope you will feel better soon. x
I had Moderna a couple of weeks ago, no problem apart for a slightly sore arm. Experienced no problems with Pfizer either (the previous three)
^ hope you perk up in time for your birthday
pat; I was a bit knocked out for 2-3 days after my Pfizer booster. Not really ill, just had to loll and snooze. I'm now over it. I hope you feel better soon.
One has to wonder how much testing has been done for such a cocktail of drugs, short and long term.

I dont consider these 'boosters' they are different treatments. A booster was like when you had the 2nd AZ or whatever.

Anyhow, hope you get better quickly.
ymb; I did feel a bit useless for a couple of days after each of the original Pfizer jabs. I don't think the booster was really any worse.
was this your second booster? Odd that you're getting different ones but maybe there's some medical reason for it.
Hard lines. It really is. I gather that most people are OK. OH, however, had such a violent reaction to his original Pfizer jab (he still bears a pink rash across his tummy and splodges all over his arms - well over a year later) that he refuses boosters and so do I. Pfizer is the only one on offer here. I was headachey and tired with A-Z original.
Perhaps you should also consider not having another. I am hearing a lot of older folk saying that they were laid low by the booster and won't have another.
Here in Norfolk most people had AZ first and second, Pfizer next, and Moderna now. OH was fine with it Lottie but our friend had a similar reaction to you. She ached all over, had a head ache and a was hot but shivery. The good news is it lasted less than 48 hours, I hope its the same for you.

Maydup you saved me posting about Norfolk Jabs!! I was fine but very tired with the two Astra jabs, Fine but with a sore arm with the Pfizer booster, so the Moderna booster result came as a shock.

The good news is after a grotty night I am feeling better and no temperature. Thank you. Xx

And thanks for all your answers and good wishes. I will continue with boosters especially as I am vulnerable. X
Had no probs with the initial A-Z jabs & the pfizer booster but the Moderna spring booster gave me a sore arm & I felt a bit crook for a couple of days.

Dave, hubby is complaining about his arm. My arm is fine. Unwilling just be cautious of the next booster is moderna., But would probably have it. We are different so obviously will get different reactions.

Unwilling should read I'm willing!
I don't know what to do. My 2nd Booster is due this Thursday. I've been fine with all of mine so far. Problem is I'm due to have my 2nd Cataract op the day after. I feel the Cataract op is more important than the Booster
Any advice, which I may or may not take;-)
Three friends had their booster jabs last week. Two had no ill effects but number three was flat out for the rest of the day, aching all over apparently.

Ladybirder. What I would do is have your op first and postpone your booster. x
I think you're right Pat. I just hope they do it as the other eye hasn't stop weeping completely yet.
My brother and his wife had their boosters on Friday. Saturday they were both feeling tired and achey. I think they've had Moderna all along, being in the States. I'm not sure Pfizer and AZ were available there when they had primary jabs.
I'm not due for another booster until late August...so far I've had 2 AZ, and I *think* my booster was Moderna. Just felt mildly achey after. Always after about 12-15 hours.
I had Astra Z for my first two jabs with some reaction with the first one. First booster was pfizer, absolutely fine and then two weeks ago had second booster, Moderna, and for two days my arm was really painful, not just sore.
I feel you should put your booster back a few weeks, LB. Concentrate on your eye op first. All the best.
