Up town early this morning to stock up for the week.
Not a lettuce to be seen.
Neither broccoli or small tomatoes.
Hardly any 'soft' fruits' either.
Never mind eggs, bread and cooking oil.
Are we heading towards rationing again?

//nailit won't be happy that someone on here can afford to shop at Waitrose, rather than Poundland//
My mum used to shop at M&S when she could.
I couldnt.
We all need to cut our cloth accordandly.

Happy for you if you can afford it,
just a little respect for those that cant.
Thats all.

I reckon you were out too early, nailit.

Nowhere I know has any of the shortages you mention. Plenty of fresh fruit & veg almost everywhere.
No problem down here with M&s or Waitrose,. However I am planting up cucumbers, broccoli and rice in my hydro-garden aka my ex-swimming pool.
So "Project Fear" was right after all - what a surprise !
......Brexit ......
No problem at Filey Tesco's about noon today- other than arriving holidaymakers stocking-up, which leaves some staples a bit thinner than usual - but that is normal.
Our church has a box of left-over veg. seeds for anyone to help themselves (and drop in any spares of their own) and it is well used. More people are growing as much as they can. We are, but no shortages to report.
Had my Morrisons delivery on Saturday and was missing onions - said they had none at all! In-laws then went shopping that same day also to Morrisons but a different area and said there were quite a few empty shelves, mainly in the fruit n veg aisles.
Self inflicted (not you nailit). You were all Conned into voting for Brexit by the Chief Con himself ,,Boris,,
Enjoy the empty shelves, you voted for it.
So funny how the sad remain voters are still wringing hands and blaming everything on Brexit.

The adults and successful people have moved on regardless how they voted.
Just the losers in life who can’t and they will always blame others for their failures in life.
No shortage of food items here. Except for slimming world lasagna and shepherds pie.
//Except for slimming world lasagna and shepherds pie.//

Sucked in fat people ;-/
No shortages of any foodstuffs at my local Tesco.
nor sainsburys online shopping,
No shortages of fruit and veg in Asda or Aldi this week, Sainsbury's didn't have any half cucumbers...
