Epoxy Resin On A Table Top

Hi all,
I will shortly be pouring epoxy resin onto a cable reel beer bottle top table I have made. I have researched the project thoroughly and believe I’m fully armed.
Just wondering if anyone has some experience or tips that they could share?

The level looks lower on the top left and the tops nearest the camera look like they're not completely covered.

The cable reel itself has been varnished and the edging of the top is upvc with a mock wood cover

Yes I am changing the upvc edging for a deeper one and am going to do a second pour of epoxy after polishing the first pour.
