I am looking for sea shanties suitable for toddlers to learn , well, up to school age, for a children's music group. All I can think of so far is Bobby Shaftoe and What shall we do with the drunken sailor. Any ideas please!

You've got to have a (child friendly) version of The Wellerman, surely?

I saw three ships come sailing by.
or . . .
The Good Ship Venus?
Sorry; I really am awful!

'Blow the man Down.'?
Does it strictly have to be 'shanties'? There are plenty of kids' songs on the theme of 'sea' or 'pirates' that, while not actually shanties, might suit your needs, I feel.

e.g.
A sailor went to sea, sea, sea,
to see what he could see, see, see,
but all that he could see, see, see,
was the bottom of the blue, blue, sea, sea, sea (etc) more verses

dare I mention Baby Shark?
The Winner NO!
jourdain2, ha, ha!
My bonny lies over the ocean
that should have read "deep blue sea, sea, sea"
A classic.
