who owns the rights of publication on cctv.
it is my cctv on my premises.
am i allowed to publicise what some idiot did at my place, while they were on cctv ?

You probably own the images as it is your equipment; however, the important question is what you can do with them.

Just be aware there is a big difference between uploading to the general public on Instagram and a closed neighbourhood group such as Nextdoor. Also be mindful of what you say. Stick to the facts, no shaming or name calling and no speculation.

If the incident did not occur on your own property then definitely don't share it. If the recording shows a criminal offence send it to the police
