DTC, I hope that I made a reference about which N would not have been upset (I certainly did not want to offend her) and I have been fairly chastised by others for breach of etiquette. Anyway, DTC, I promise not to cut off N's had again. Pray forgive me, Mme M, if I have offended thee with my thoughtless remark. If you find it outwith the realm of yr forgiveness then I am truly sorry and shall endeavour to avoid such a situation arriving between us in the future.
