Where's the circus? The Disney clips (was it called The Wonderful World of Disney?) The old musical? The variety show?

TV is not what it was, and for that I am thankful :D

My mother always said that it wasn't a proper Bank holiday weekend unless 'She Wore a Yellow Ribbon' (which she loathed) was on the telly.

No doubt she'd have been pleased to know that Aunty Beeb has now ensured that it's always a Bank Holiday, courtesy of iPlayer:

I note that The Rag Trade was on that evening. I've got the DVD set that contains all of the surviving episodes and, amazingly, the humour is still as fresh as ever!

I've never seen the original but the new one was recommended, Prudie.
are you pausing it till part 2 is made, tigger?
Lol, no, I paused it as I got a phone call then got sidetracked on my tablet....as ya do!
I do, I do...
Right......back to the film now. No talking or chewing popcorn please....ta!

I remember The Rag Trade well :) We were much more cultured and religious back in the day - or so the Beeb believed

Can anyone remember the name of the Disney programme that seemed to be on every Christmas and Easter showing clips of the films?
This was, of course, before the days of video and Disney never showed a film in full on tv. If you wanted to watch it, you had to go to the cinema and watch it through a fug of fag smoke.
Here's your answer, Barry:

I watched La Belle Epoque on iPlayer - French comedy/drama about a technophobe and his glamorous wife who've fallen out of love. Their son gives him a ticket to a sort of high-tech theme park. Sort of Westworld meets The Way We Were.
