My gas and electricity have just gone up £40 a month just for me. https://postimg.cc/v4Brcf1h

I did an online shop in Morrisons and found this selection of cold meats https://postimg.cc/sBM407sx

It really is beginning to hit home, it is scary stuff!

I am lucky in that I have more coming in than going out so the rise will not be too difficult. But there are people who will genuinely be struggling.

Even if I was mega-rich paying £20 for 6oz of cold meat would still be too much.

Night and sweet dreams to both of you ☺☺
I always think of others too, I do take care of oneself but can't imagine how difficult its going to be for most families.

Sleep well wolf have pleasant dreams.
£20 for 6oz of cold meat ?
Can't understand why it says that. Looking at Morrisons website, the prices are nothing like that.

Photoshop ?
Imagine if that was "shared".

It was a copy of the result that I found when looking for Ham.

I suspect that the decimal place is in the wrong place.
I have struggled all Winter, by next year I have decided I will buy a heated blanket and use that rather than heat my flat. Luckily I can cook very cheaply, and being vegetarian will help. I might have to switch my Pepsi max to the treat category, and stop buying people no lady Apple's ( they are the only food item where I buy the best not the cheapest option). I am on the waiting list for an allotment, hoping if I get one I can grow veggies to help the other residents of my sheltered housing scheme too. We are all planning to use the common room as a drop in centee as the council heat that, and hot water is available etc. We will all share the cost of tea coffee and milk. Makes more sense than all heating our individual homes. Communal meals may be an option if a couple of us can do a food handlers course.
do you mean your monthly payment has gone up by £40 ?
that doesn't mean to say all the £40 will be used in one month, you will get some credited and you can reduce your monthly payment when you find out your average power usage later
Wolf those prices are per kilo surely?
