Friend Is Being Abused. What Can I Do To Help?

In the UK, my friend is being physically and emotionally abused by their stepfather. It has gone on for a while, and the police are not doing *** because the abuser is good mates with the police at least in that area, so the police are siding with him. No evidence seems to be enough, and I *** you not, the domestic abuse hotline that she got in touch with told her that her case was not as bad. Her case is dangerously bad. Her mom won't leave him because he is the main source of income.

I am doing my part as a friend by supporting her and being there and providing any resources really. I am asking y'all: is there anything I can do right now as a friend, and are there any UK resources that she can look into and any information that might be good to know? So she can look into it. I feel like it's important she gets the help she needs but I am of course limited in what I can - and should do - as a friend, but I am asking in hopes that the right info and resources could point her in a direction that turns this around.
