Front Number Plate

I have noticed that around here ( Essex ) that there are a lot of expensive cars with no front number plate. Isn't that illegal ?

Not inEssex but we had an idiot racing his car along the road by us which has a 20 mph speed limit. He clipped the corner of a parked car and shot straight through a high brick wall and immediately reversed out and shot off out of sight no doubt thinking he'd got away with it.

What he didn't realise was he'd left his number plate behind in the rubble. I hope he's insured because that wall is going to be expensve to repair.

I realize this is somewhat off-topic, but a lot of US States do not require front tags on vehicles.

I have an idea (copyright). Teams of enforcers, let's call them traffic wardens, patroling our streets, employed and backed by the police.
They identify offenders, issue tickets and the courts sort out the knobs if they don't pay promptly.

I'm pretty sure this is an original idea but can't think why it hasn't been done before.

A lot of these supercars are from Italy where (I think) they don't have front number plates & the design of the cars makes fitting a front plate difficult. Nonetheless it is a legal requirement in the UK and they should be made to comply.
