Large Heavy Metal Gates

Hi everyone. We had some very large heavy gates installed. They will eventually have motors on but right now if you open them 45degrees one of the gates moves inwards and the other one moves outwards... is this a problem? Just doesn't seam right to me but I have never had electric gates before.. thanky poos

Forgot to say... when in closed position there is not a lot movement and when open it just hangs still
