Lots of medications says 'take after food' or 'after a meal' or 'do not take on an empty stomach' etc - but how much food does that mean?

Its never specific, but would say, a biscuit be enough? or does it need to be a full plate of food?

with empty stomach, could a cup of tea be enough? its liquid but its still in your stomach, and has calories if milk & sugar & nutrients etc.

Can it be any type of food - say 7 lettuce leaves? or something more substantial, like stodge etc?

I take naproxen & its very annoying having to force food in at times when i dont want to be eating - like 3am because ive woken up needing to take a pill.
I also have lansoprazole to protect my stomach, so I assume i need to eat a bit less food than without - but I have no idea.

Any thoughts?

Thanks?

Usually I take such medication with a meal.
We used to say to patients anything above a slice of bread, a cup of tea is not enough, a glass of milk and a couple of biscuits if you can't face anything more. The lansoprazole will help a lot but it's still safer to eat as well.
My mother was told a mug of milk coffee and a couple of biscuits was enough to line her stomach.
I would ask Sqad.
