Anybody else noticed this?
The music they play in the background during Dramas, Documentaries etc drives me mad.
I don't mind if it's just playing quietly in the background but it's quite often loud dramatic music and I end up putting subtitles on and turning off the sound.

Gness I'm a good boy me, love techy Dave lol, poor SD is probably in a panic.
"I've had him on his knees fiddling around more times than you can image. I'm still not happy"

Maybe concentrate on the sound levels first, then get on with the lovin' technicalities?
Tweaking and knob twiddling has no place in audio adjustment.
A good boy???? :-)))
Oh I don’t know, Douglas. Dave’s got quite a nice singing voice when encouraged.
Question Author
If Gness were to twiddle the knobs, SD would be singing in a very high voice.

Who started this thread? Oh ..........
I always have the subtitles on. I like it when the music swells up and a subtitle announces"exciting music" or "ominous music" or "reassuring music".
Who started this thread? That’ll be that woman with the….unusual user name. ;-)

Mouse over to the right, but I'd check TV first,
I do wonder how old Gness's and SD's TV is where he has get down on his knees twiddling nobs... the mind boggles..
I've noticed the adverts always seem louder than the program you are watching.
We both my sound bar has s setting which reduces the sound on adverts, it was well worth the price just for that!
Barsel it be a question of getting the balance right with settings on both tv and soundbar.
Well it's not that old, Arky but we are looking, when we replace it, to go for one of those new fangled colour ones.
Lol, don't let SD choose it though, I know what us blokes are like.

Gness, never going to forget my name are we? :-) x

Chelle, I've only ever use the sound bar remote for the sound level, but having looked at it tonight, there are other buttons on it that have 'Custom' 'Bass' 'Treble' 'Music' and 'Movie', so next time, I'll try those.
No, Barsel...because it always makes me smile... :-)
Yes, i know what you mean, the programme makers do not think that the viewers may not want it. Also annoying is the so called whooshing and clanging noises they put in some documentaries to make it more animated, it is not real and ruins the programme for me.
