Putin was an admirer of the British Navy during WW2, who kept Russia supplied via the Arctic Convoys. He said as much in a letter to a friend of mine, an Arctic Convoy Veteran, who received The Ushkov Medal from him. My friend should have gone to Moscow to receive it in person from Putin, but unfortunately he took ill, and it subsequently came in the post, along with the letter.

From being an apparently, sort of, appreciative person, Putin seems to have gone slightly off the rails. I don't think he'd hesitate to use nuclear weapons and take on the MAD Principle. I don't know which Russian it was this week who said: "What is the world without Russia?" Get that Equity Release now!
