I don't think Putin would dare. Ukraine is bad enough, but I recognise it's previous links to the USSR, Finland has always been a sovereign country. It would be an act of war which the rest of the world couldn't possibly fail to intervene in.

As an off-topic aside, the Finnish PM is absolutely gorgeous. ❤
Finland has always been a sovereign country

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, on the other hand...
If anything I would've thought that the Baltic States would be more likely as targets as Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia were part of the USSR. Finland wasn't. But who knows what is going on this tyrants mind.

erm Finland was NOT always a sovereign state

From the late 13th century, Finland gradually became an integral part of Sweden as a consequence of the Northern Crusades. In 1809, as a result of the Finnish War, Finland became part of the Russian Empire as the autonomous Grand Duchy of Finland,

they also had a Russian minority which I think has gone back to russia
Oh well, you live and learn.
Once upon a time JJ Whitley gin was made in the UK. Close examination of a bottle nowadays will reveal it's made in Russia from Russian Wheat, near St Petersburg. It's apparently the "third most loved gin brand in the UK" according to Amazon. JJ Whitley vodka is also made in the same distillery.
I await the announcement from Asda and other retailers that they are stopping the sale of these products as a result of the invasion of the Ukraine. I think I've got a long time to wait. Stolichnaya seems to be made in Latvia these days although I'm willing to be corrected.
I would have thought that Putin's actions in Ukraine would be more likely to persuade Finland to join NATO. The Ukarine president is bemoaning the fact that no-one is sending troops in to help defend his country; if Ukraine were a member of NATO they probably would.
