I expected to be awake with high winds etc through the night, Mr B had gone out and secured the garden chairs to a small corner for safety …no wind ( yet) but we do have a covering of snow about an inch and a half , how have the rest of yous fared with it ( before I put the news on)

A couple of log stores blown over, but its still raging at the moment.
south ....fences and walls down roofs off flats, trees down .my garden is wrecked and fence down

Apparently Eunice has brought the strongest winds on record. 122ph on Isle of Wight
We've got an enormous and quite old conifer in our garden, which is a beautiful tree. You can see the ground lifting up around it. We are convinced that it will go before long.
Really rough over here in East Norfolk and we have been without power for a couple of hours. No mains gas but we have a camping stove at the ready to make tea and heat soup!
Huge tree from garden opposite just down and blocked the road in front of our house. Swiftly dealt with by the farm and police. Our electricity line plate detached from pole by one of our trees but still working, so probably no electrity very soon.
