Who Killed Billie Jo Jenkins

Have just watched this documentary about Billie Jo who was murdered in February 1997. It was harrowing but riveting. One thing puzzled me was why did they leave a 13 year old girl on her own when they knew there was prowlers about and they said they were concerned about their security,

Strange case, I read up on this case over the years and
still cannot understand it.

Very puzzling. If the Step Dad did it, why wasn’t he covered in blood.
I think they are going to reinvestigate the case.

Was surprised how remarkably calm his phone call was having discovered a loved one with their head smashed in.Then again,it would be easy enough to put on a hysterical phone call
